Healing, but First Cleaning 🩹✨
Have you ever been accused of being “too sensitive”?
Ever noticed yourself becoming unusually defensive when a certain topic comes up — even when others seem unbothered?
That sting 🦂 you feel?
It might not be about that moment at all.
It might be a wound you’ve been carrying 🧳
🖐️ A Real Cut
Not long ago, I cut my finger ✌
There was blood 🩸 A lot of it.
I didn’t dare to look directly at the wound — afraid it might be worse than I could handle.
So I just covered it up, plastered it, and hoped for the best.
But I noticed how many things I avoided after that:
I wasn’t sure if I should go to the gym the next day 🏋️
I wasn’t sure if I should see a doctor 🩺
I wasn’t sure if it would heal properly on its own 🤕
If I had simply looked, I would’ve known how deep it was 🤦🏻
I could have cleaned it, treated it, and made space for it to heal.
But I didn’t 🤷🏻
And that says a lot about how we deal with emotional wounds too.
👁️🗨️ Emotional Wounds Are Just Like Physical Ones
When something hurts us — a betrayal, a harsh word, a forgotten need — we often avoid it.
We slap on a mental “plaster” and move on.
But the pain?
It stays.
And then one day, someone accidentally touches it again…
It flares up 🔥
It stings 🦂
And suddenly, we’re reacting from the old wound — not the current moment.
Because that’s what unhealed pain does.
It waits quietly…
Until life brushes against it.
🕯️ Take Your Time, But Don’t Forget to Look
This doesn’t mean you should rush to rip off the plaster and examine every wound right away.
Sometimes, emotional strength takes time ⏳ to return.
Give yourself that time. Be gentle 🌸
But when you are ready…
Look at it. Clean it.
Feel it.
You might find there’s something waiting in there:
Not just pain — but wisdom. Growth. A new kind of strength 🌳
🌱 Growth Starts Where the Light Breaks Through
It’s in the cracks where light first enters ☀️
And your healing?
It begins not when you cover the wound…
But when you finally have the courage to clean it.
